| Thanks for your letter. There are two points on which we would appreciate some clarification. |

| 1. we are asked to apologise for 'any offense that may have been caused to members of the council and citizens of the city by previous publications' can you be more specific about what offense may have been caused and to whom? Given that we have now published a book and 18 issues of The Vacuum and given the large membership of the council, to say nothing of the large population of Belfast we wonder if you might have something more specific in mind? |

| 2. 'an assurance that future publications will meet such criteria as may be established by the council' Can you specify what future criteria the council may establish or are we to give an assurance that we will meet whatever criteria the council agrees irrespective of what they are, including breaking the law? |
